Terms of Service for Event Organizers

1. Introduction
- This agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between Synedry ("Company", "We", "Us") and event organizers ("Organizer", "You").
- By using our platform and services to organize events, you agree to comply with the terms outlined in this Agreement.
2. Definitions
- Event: The event you are creating, promoting, and managing through our platform.
- Platform: The website or app operated by Synedry, through which you can create, manage, and promote events.
- Tickets: Passes or entries to events that you sell or distribute via our platform.
- Services: All services provided by the Company to facilitate event creation, management, promotion, and ticketing.
3. Account Creation and Responsibility
- Account Creation: To use our platform, you must create an account with accurate and current information.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your login credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
- Age Restrictions: You must be at least 18 years old to use our platform to organize events.
4. Event Creation and Management
- Event Listings: Organizers can list events on our platform, including event details (dates, location, ticket types, etc.).
- Approval and Modifications: We may review events listed on the platform and reserve the right to remove or modify events that violate our guidelines or applicable laws.
- Compliance with Laws: Organizers must comply with all applicable laws, including local regulations, licenses, permits, and insurance for the events.
5. Fees and Payments
- Service Fees: We charge a fee for the use of our platform to list and sell tickets. The fees will be outlined during the event setup process and may vary based on event size, ticket type, or other factors.
- Payment Processing: Payments for tickets are processed through third-party payment gateways. Organizers must ensure that payment details are accurate and up-to-date.
- Disbursement of Funds: Revenue from ticket sales will be disbursed to the organizer, minus applicable fees, according to the payout schedule.
- Refund Policy: Refunds for events are managed based on the event's cancellation policy, which the organizer must clearly communicate to attendees.
6. User Content and License
- Content Ownership: Organizers retain ownership of all content they upload to the platform, including event descriptions, images, and other materials.
- License Grant: By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute the content in connection with promoting your event.
- Content Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
7. Prohibited Activities
- Illegal Activities: You may not use our platform for any illegal activities, including fraud, piracy, or infringement of intellectual property.
- Harassment or Abuse: You must not engage in, or allow any activity related to, harassment or abuse of attendees or other organizers.
- Ticket Reselling: Unauthorized reselling of tickets at inflated prices is prohibited.
- Misleading or Inaccurate Information: You must not post misleading event details or engage in deceptive practices.
8. Privacy and Data Collection
- Data Use: We collect and process personal data of organizers and event attendees as part of providing our services. Our use of data is subject to our Privacy Policy.
- Data Protection: You must handle attendee data responsibly, in compliance with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Third-Party Services: We may use third-party services for payment processing, marketing, or event promotion. These services may collect data, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Cancellations and Modifications
- Event Cancellations: Organizers are responsible for notifying us and attendees of event cancellations, changes to dates or times, and any other significant alterations.
- Refunds for Cancellations: In the event of cancellation, organizers must follow the refund policy agreed with attendees, as outlined at the time of ticket sale.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Platform Availability: While we aim to maintain consistent availability of our platform, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any interruptions in service due to technical issues.
- Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you will be limited to the fees paid by you for the specific event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold Synedry harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, including legal costs associated with any violation of this Agreement.
12. Termination and Suspension
- Termination by Us: We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate any terms in this Agreement, with or without notice.
- Termination by You: You can terminate your account at any time by notifying us in writing. You remain responsible for any obligations incurred before termination.
13. Dispute Resolution
- Arbitration: Any disputes arising under this Agreement will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court, unless prohibited by law.
- Jurisdiction: The jurisdiction for any legal proceedings will be in Greece.
14. Modifications to Terms
- We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes, and your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
- This Agreement will be governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
16. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Agreement remains in effect.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters or technical failures.
